I was fortunate enough to stay at your hotel with a group of Golf mates on Sunday night .

I played golf on Sunday and Monday and enjoyed the golf courses but I must say that even taking into account the great quality food I ate and the surprisingly large and well-presented rooms we stayed in the outstanding feature of my stay was your staff .

From reception staff to restaurant staff to bar staff to housekeeping and not forgetting the pro shop staff the friendly approach was super consistent.

I loved the way all your staff interacted with guests making us all feel valued and welcome .

The ‘banter’ at times was very funny and I could tell that staff were well used to looking after groups of sometimes rowdy groups of male golfers

I am from a high-level customer service industry background and it was so refreshing to stay somewhere with such high standards in place and to get this level of effortless friendly service consistent across all departments is to be commended.

As we had a departing drink in the bar we all agreed …

‘What was not to like’

Can I say a very big thank you to you and the team behind our recent stay over the 16th to 18th September.  

From the minute we arrived in the car park it felt good just looking at the set up, to the very helpful and cheerful staff in all aspects of the weekend, from the golf shop, the starter, dining and receptionists.  The rooms were superb and many in the group commented on this to me.

I just wanted to send you an email to thank you and all at SbN for hosting a wonderful couple of days for our Golf Society at the start of this week. 

Everyone had a great time and the courses both played really well. I can’t quite believe we managed to choose the first two days it had rained in almost 6 months!, but it didn’t dampen our spirits.

We are looking to make the competition an annual event and would be more than happy to return to SbN to stay again.

May I thank you and Stoke-by-Nayland staff for providing a most enjoyable two days at your venue.

The courses were good and challenging on both days and everyone enjoyed the experience.

Your catering staff looked after us well for dinner in the evening and at breakfast next day and the food was good.

Thank you for the excellent room provided for me and all rooms were excellent from the comments I heard.

We look forward to visiting you again at some future date, but for now, thank you very much for making my Seniors Captain’s Overnighter a great success.

Can I just say what a fantastic week we all had at Stoke by Nayland last week.

We were all made very welcome as soon as we arrived on the Monday, all the staff do you credit in the friendly manor they conduct themselves. Very easy booking in and rooms were above expectation’s. Clean and nice view’s outside. The food was also excellent and I did not have any problems as I’m a Coeliac and have to keep to a Gluten Free Diet.

Both golf courses were in very good order and a good challenge to all my group.

We have just spent three days at Stoke by Nayland and I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed it and how impressed we were as a group with the facilities, the golf courses, the accommodation and the standard of the restaurant.  Without exception each member of the party expressed their delight with the trip.  The staff were all very helpful and I was very impressed with the manner in which they went out of their way to ensure that we had everything we wanted. 

Please do let the management know of our satisfaction.

I think I can safely say that we will return in the near future.

 Booking for two nights and 3 rounds of golf from Sunday 29th May. I just wanted to message you and say thank you to all your staff from all 8 of us for a fantastic few days. From start to finish it was brilliant. We would all like to say a special thank you to the lovely young lady that was on breakfast duty the two mornings we ate. She was an absolute delight. A very happy bubbly young lady that never stopped smiling and chatting to us all. I’m sure you will know who I’m talking about.

Finally, my wife and I came to your venue last September, I believe it was to watch my son in law play in the euro pro qualifying. When we returned home I messaged someone who’s name I’ve forgotten now, it could well have been you Debbie to say that we’d had a lovely couple of days.

After 3 years in the planning !!!!….from my perspective the event went off extremely well and I’ve had only very positive feedback! The group thought all the facilities were very good and we were very well looked after. Special mention to Becky in the bar area …..she runs a tight ship and kept some of the more unruly members under control, she was great .

I would recommend SBN to anyone who asks for my opinion .

Everyone absolutely loved it.

I have to say the golf courses were stunning and, without exception, all the ladies loved their rooms. Everyone really appreciated having our evening meal in Bill’s, so thank you for arranging that for us. They all thought the food for dinner and breakfast was fantastic too. It does need to be said that all the ladies thought the whole experience was achieved because all of the staff were so accommodating, helpful and keen to be of service – hotel staff right through to the Pro Shop. I honestly can’t thank you enough for all your help. You have an amazing set-up there and it’s very clear that all of you work as a team.

It was a huge success and as you say – the weather was very kind to us and just made the whole trip perfect. We all really appreciated being able to do this sort of thing again having not been able to for the past couple of years. I think it’s set a high bar for the Vice-Captain to beat the whole experience next year…

Ironically, I had the best score on the first day on the Constable Course – but as Lady Captain, I couldn’t very well win my own competition…………shame as the prizes I chose from the Pro Shop were really lovely and went down very well.

Just a quick note to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay on Wednesday 11th May to Thursday 12th May.

Everything was well organised and the rooms were perfect.

The food in the restaurant was amazing and we all enjoyed it very much.

The spa treatments was wonderful even though we missed 10 minutes of our treatments because we were so relaxed in the curtain area of the pool. I did say to the girl that did my treatment maybe you should hand out a timer like they have in some restaurants to buzz you when it’s your time slots to avoid this happening.

We will definitely be back.

 A great weekend thank you very much and a great time was had by all – also great weather helped. S by N does have a perfect formula for golf breaks. Also thanks again for being accommodating to our Dan Jespersen which he really appreciated and hopes to be playing again at S by N next year.
