Pastry Chef

We are looking for a Pastry Chef to join the kitchen team at the Stoke by Nayland Resort to be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Pastry section.

You will work closely with the Executive Chef, creating and producing dishes for guests to enjoy across the Resort, including for the Lakes Restaurant, our fine dining restaurant, The Gallery, Afternoon Tea and the large number of events we host each year.

This role would suit an experienced Pastry Chef looking for a new challenge, or a Chef de Partie with a passion for Pastry looking to take the next step in their career.

• Passionate about preparing inspirational and memorable dishes to the highest standard
• A commitment to ensuring service runs smoothly and our guests receive exceptional service every time
• Supporting the Executive Chef with menu ideas to ensure dishes are creative and showcase local produce, as well as home-grown soft fruits and apples from our family-run Boxford Farms
• A strong team player who will support and develop the kitchen team, creating an environment that brings out the best in them
• Communicating with the front-of-house team to ensure they have great product knowledge with which to inform and inspire our guests
• Follow company SOPs to deliver consistency
• Exhibit exceptional planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
• Focused on maintaining all data records required to comply with Food Safety, Health & Safety, COSHH and HACCP regulations
