Stoke by Nayland Resort has an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start a career in Greenkeeping! As a Greenkeeping Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience whilst working towards achieving the Golf Greenkeeper Level 2 apprenticeship.
SbN is home to two 18-hole championship golf courses – the Gainsborough course measures over 7,000 yards and hosts prestigious PGA tournaments, whilst the Constable course is very popular with hotel residents, families and members alike. There is also a large driving range, extensive practice facilities and a state-of-the-art golf simulator.
Working as part of the greenkeeping team, the successful candidate will report to the Head Greenkeeper & Course Manager. You will be expected to work Monday to Friday, with weekend work on a rota basis. This role offers a competitive salary as well as additional employee benefits.
Due to our location, having your own transport is essential.
What You’ll Get Up To:
- Work within the team to maintain the golf course to a high standard as expected by our members and guests.
- Assist with ensuring the course is properly laid out, prepared and maintained to the required standard for members and guests to the Club.
- Assist with the maintenance of bunkers and course furniture.
- Operate machinery used for specific tasks whilst complying with standard operating procedures to ensure Health & Safety regulations are met.
- You will be expected to comply with any reasonable instruction issued by your Manager.
- Undertake all operations in a safe and environmentally sustainable manner.

- Full driving licence.
