Top 5 Spring Spa Treatments to Dust Out the Cobwebs

After a few months of bedding down and being indoors curled up with Netflix, it’s time to say goodbye to the cold, dark days of winter, as we unfurl into a season of longer evenings, blossom and outdoor drinking. It’s the time of year we start to spring clean both our minds and body.

To celebrate, we have a round-up of some of our most popular beauty treatments that guests like to opt for at this time of year, along with some other ideas of how you might like to dust off the cobwebs in other ways.

Because finding time for yourself while juggling work and life is no mean feat. However, here a Stoke by Nayland Resort, we’re big believers in making the time! At Peake Spa, we’re open seven days a week, to make sure your precious ‘me time’ is well-spent.

Neom Energise (£70)

Exfoliation, Body Wrap, Massage, Reflexology and Meditation all rolled into one!

I’m sure many of you will have come across the invigorating and sensual Neom range, and if you haven’t then allow us to introduce you to a little slice of heaven. We have a series of different treatments with the Neom range and one which is particularly lovely for the spring is Neom Energise – absolutely guaranteed to wake you up from a long winter’s nap.

Neom London’s Energise Treatment is £70 for a 55-minute treatment which includes a full-body exfoliation, body wrap using Neom rejuvenating cream clay, full-body massage using relaxation and meditation techniques and a reflexology foot massage.

Wellbeing Hack: Other spring wellbeing rituals you might like to consider… How about introducing more nutrient-packed seasonal fruit and veg. There’s so much around at this time of year including asparagus, spinach, purple sprouting broccoli, watercress and rhubarb, to name but a few.

Cleopatra & Frankincense Serenity Milk Wrap

For skin as smooth as Cleopatra, look no further. This is 70-minute treatment is an ancient-inspired infusion of milk and essential oils of frankincense that instantly soothes and nourishes the skin. Just what you need after the chapped winter months. The enzymes found in milk actually help to remove dead skin cells and impurities to leave the skin satin smooth, leaving you ready for sunnier days. Whilst the envelopment is taking effect, just kick back and let go to the soothing touch of the therapist’s hands, there to melt away the tension. You’ll feel ready to drift off after a scalp massage.

Wellbeing Hack: Vitamin D supports healthy bones and immunity. It is made by the action of sun on our skin and so in the winter our vitamin D levels naturally drop. However, as we head into spring it can sometimes be tricky to top up our levels after a long winter and many experts suggest taking a supplement and eating more vitamin D enriched foods during the spring months.

Body Hair Removal (from £15)

Underarm wax, bikini wax, half leg wax, full leg wax, half leg & bikini wax, full leg & bikini wax, back wax, chest wax, Brazilian and Hollywood – we’ve got you covered this spring.

Wellbeing Hack: Remember, once it’s dress and t-shirt weather, don’t forget to slather on the sunscreen on that silky skin. Sunscreen isn’t just for summer – it helps protect your skin in spring too. Always opt for a high sun-protection factor of 30 SPF or more which will protect against UVB. Apply sunscreen 15 to 30 minutes before going out into the sun, and reapply cream every two hours (and after swimming).

If you experience hay fever, opt for foods rich in flavonoids such as quercetin, vitamin C and beta-carotene which can help to block histamine and reduce inflammation – foods such as onions, garlic and blueberries. Carrots are immunity-boost and eating local honey can help you cope with allergies.
