Enjoy the outdoors this winter!

Just because it’s mildly freezing outside does not mean you have to stay cooped up in the house (however tempting a boxset marathon might be)! There’s loads of fun outdoor things for all the family to enjoy around the area, so dig out the woolly hats and gloves, wrap up warm and check out a few of these.

 

Christmas Markets

Get into the festive spirit with a visit to the Christmas market in Bury St Edmunds! Grab a cup of steaming hot chocolate and a traditional German sausage whilst browsing over 300 stalls offering food, gifts, jewellery and much more. There’s also a funfair, Christmas carols and even fireworks to keep everyone entertained!

Ice Slider & Frost Fair

Release your inner child at the DX Ice Slider in Colchester. Race down the ice slide on a sledge or a big ring tube for 25-minutes of unlimited fun! You’ll also be able to enjoy old fashioned fairground rides and refreshments.

Colchester Zoo

The zoo stays open during daylight hours throughout the winter making it an ideal activity for the whole family to enjoy. There’s still plenty of animals to see, experiences to take part in and throughout December kids can have breakfast or supper with Santa during their visit!
