Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf and Spa is looking for full and part-time experienced Food & Beverage Staff to join its Clubhouse & Halfway Huts Team.

Working as part of the wider Food & Beverage Team, and reporting to the Club House Supervisor & Manager, the successful candidate will have previous experience in a golf or resort environment.

The Clubhouse role combines both table and bar service for our golf members and visiting golf groups, serving a range of dishes including breakfast, paninis, burgers, salads, jacket potatoes and lots of tea and coffee! The Golf Huts offer tea, coffee, cold drinks and snacks on the golf course, enabling our guests to have a welcome refreshment break during their round of golf.

This is a hands-on role and will suit a motivated individual who has a positive outlook and natural interest in learning new skills and developing their career.

Although based in the Clubhouse & Golf Huts, as part of the wider Food & Beverage team you will be expected to assist other areas of the Food & Beverage department as and when required.

What You’ll Get Up To

  • Build relationships with Golf Club members
  • Hosting all operational aspects of service
  • Identifying and fulfilling the needs of members and golf groups
  • Understanding the requirements of peak times and preparing for this busy environment
  • Developing and maintaining high standards
  • Daily staff briefs and communication with kitchen and golf teams
  • Cash handling, working the tills and shift cashing up
  • Working effectively as part of a team

What We’re Looking For

  • Food and beverage experience in a vibrant and busy environment
  • Golf resort experience is preferred, but not essential
  • Experience working with a POS & FOH system
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • A great bubbly personality with the desire to develop and learn

Additional Information

As part of the Food & Beverage Team you will be expected to work earlies, middles or late shifts dependent on the needs of the business, including weekends.

Due to our location, having your own transport is essential.

Full and part-time available.
