Lee Westwood’s continued good form has seen him return to the top of the world rankings over recent weeks - and it’s not just his own game that is leading the way. After just one year of operating, The Lee Westwood Golf School is to open a second venue in the UK and has selected Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa near Colchester. This partnership is testament to the excellent reputation that Stoke by Nayland has gained in the International Golf arena. The Club has also recently become a Regional Performance Centre for England Golf, and continues to work closely with the English Golf Union in developing young golfers.

The Lee Westwood School offers a two-year programme to develop talented golfers aged 16 and above, and is the first of its kind to be accredited by the World Number 1. The School is planned to open at Stoke by Nayland in September 2011 and applicants are now being invited to apply. It will offer:

• Two year full-time education and golf programme ideal for PGA route, higher education and sports-related career.
• Based at the prestigious Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa with excellent facilities.
• Structured and proven 36 week per year programme (residential available).
• Unique BTEC Extended National Diploma in Sport (equivalent to 3 A-levels).
• Proven individual and group training in all areas of golf including psychology, nutrition, fitness and more.
• Structured competition programme across the UK.
• Fully qualified PGA Pros and tutors.
• Official sponsors include Dunlop, PING and UPS.
• Includes Winter training in Spain.
